Stanisław Jędryka
Is a director and football fan born in Sosnowiec in 1933. In 1956, he graduated from the Faculty of Directing at the State Higher School of Film in Łódź and took up employment with the Rytm Film Unit. He was assistant director and then second director to Stanisław Lenartowicz and Stanisław Różewicz. In 1973, he received the Prize of the State Radio and Television Committee for his series for children and two Awards of the President of the Council of Ministers for Work for Children and Young People in 1976 and 1980. However, one of the most original prizes that Stanisław Jędryka won is a distinction at the Experimental and Short-Film Festival in Venice for his 20-minute Stadium (1959). Mr. Jędryka's work was appreciated also in Poznań: he received Poznań Billy Goats for Powroty (1977) and Zielone lata (1981) and last year Platinum Billy Goats went to him for his whole work.
